Mission Statement

A benchrest organization for the shooter and the range owners with the goal of simplicity in operation, where every member has a voice.

An organization that will pursue, record and promote precision and accuracy in long range benchrest.

We encourage the exchange of knowledge, experiences and theory, and more importantly, support the camaraderie of our members and the mentoring of new shooters that are the life blood of any organization. Our goal is an organization where the members and directors are, competitors and friends, that share the common goal of competition and enjoyment of the sport.

Our design of this organization is the ability to easily modify our system to better suit the needs of all our members. We will always keep safety as our first priority through all of our operation.

The Rules Are Simple

We have structured Freedom Benchrest, via a Rules Committee, that the Ranges and the Members have complete control of the Rules and their implementation. The Board of Directors will manage all financial and legal requirements of the Organization as well as the Record keeping, Website, Scoring Programs and tools that a Match Director would use in the execution of a Freedom Benchrest Match.

Our Rules are designed to be less prohibitive, easier to oversee and allow for new innovation to see what we can make a long range rifle do. We have eliminated End of Year Honor points for any Record targets, but will certainly honor those achievements. Our 1000 Yard Program will duplicate the 600 Yard Structure for ease of use and basically common sense. We have replaced the DQ Rule for missing bullet holes and replaced it with a penalty which will allow the competitor to continue shooting.

Board of Directors & Advisory Committee

These are some of the highlights that separate us from the other shooting organizations, but the biggest will be attitude of the Board of Directors and their desire to offer you a stress free, willing to help option for your club and shooters. Thank you for your time and we hope you will consider Freedom Benchrest for your Club’s affiliation with a Professional organization that has Long Range and it’s members as it’s first priority. We hope to visit with you soon in regards to this proposition so please feel free to call any of us with questions. Hope to hear from you soon.
